Jason Miller

Jason Miller is the founder and director of Pink Ladies Futsal Club. He has been coaching futsal since its Massachusetts inception in 1999 and has won numerous league and tournament championships. But what he is most proud of as a futsal coach is that every futsal player has improved immensely, made new friends and had a lot of fun.

In addition to being the club’s head coach, Jason is also the Director of Futsal for Massachusetts Futsal, Director of Eastern Premier Futsal, head coach for Concord-Carlisle Youth Soccer and boys varsity soccer coach at the Boston Latin School. Jason is the U.S. Youth Futsal Girls Director for Futsal I.D. and National Team programs and has served as head coach of the U.S. Youth Futsal U16 girls National Team in 2014 and 2016. Jason is also the director of the new CCFA program as well as the head coach of both girls teams.

A native of Lexington, Jason holds a U.S. Youth Futsal National Level 3 coaching certificate, a USSF National “C” coaching license and a USSF/NSCAA Level One Goalkeeping license. He has also been involved with the Winchester, Lexington and Nashoba girls high school programs, served as District Select girls coach for 11 years and administrator for four. Jason also served four years as Director of Player and Coach Development for Lexington Youth Soccer and three years as a youth coach with Sachems FC. Jason is an experienced USSF soccer and futsal referee who has previously worked for the Boston Breakers and the Olympic Development Program.

He is a former fifth-grade, sixth-grade, and special education teacher and has a B.A. in Journalism from Ithaca College and a M.Ed. from Lesley University. In addition to his soccer and futsal attentions, Jason has worked as a sports counselor at Camp Sewataro in Sudbury, futsal coach at Summer at Park and as a girls high school basketball coach at Gann Academy in Waltham. He lives with his wife Rachel, son Grey and their dogs Wembley, Brady, Caico and Dublin in Sudbury.

 

Daniela De Sousa

Daniela DeSousa enters her eighth season with the club and third as Associate Head Coach. She is a senior administrator for the Massachusetts Futsal Association and the Northeast Regional Futsal Championships. Known as “Coach D” to most, her hair and passion for the game are unrivaled. A former assistant coach in the District Select girls soccer program, she is a staff coach for Concord-Carlisle Youth Soccer and the junior varsity girls soccer coach at Burlington High School. Starting in fall 2018 she will also serve as assistant coach for CCFA Girls soccer teams.

A recipient of a U.S. Youth Futsal National Level 3 coaching certificate — and the first woman to earn that distinction — Daniela is on the U.S. Youth Futsal regional coaching staff. Since 2012 she has been a director of Massachusetts Beach Soccer Club.

A former coach at Boston Latin School and Hamden High School, Daniela graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Masters in Education and currently teaches Spanish at Burlington High School. When not traveling, Coach D resides in Woburn.

Renee Dupre

Renee Dupre returns for her third season in Pink after an incredible first two years with the Club. She serves as a clinician for Concord-Carlisle Youth Soccer and recently completed her U.S. Soccer Federation F coaching license and U.S. Youth Futsal National Level 3 course. Renee spends her summers as a young tribe leader at Camp Sewataro in Sudbury.

She grew up playing futsal for Dragons FC and attended one of the very early youth national championship tournaments, where her team finished second. On the socccer pitch, Renee played as a sweeper for Fontbonne Academy and as a striker at the University of Maine at Farmington, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. In 2016 she added a Masters in Elementary Education from Bridgewater State University.

Renee currently serves as a first grade teacher at Mulcahey Elementary School in Taunton, formerly spending two years teaching second grade at Pioneer Charter School of Science in Everett. When not busy teaching or coaching she enjoys reading, hiking and Irish step dancing. She has two cats.

Jonathan Barron

Jonathan Barron is back for his third season in pink! In additional serving as a coach in the junior and senior programs, Jon serves as assistant director of the Academy program. He also works as girls junior varsity soccer coach at the Boston Latin School and has played and coached in multiple states and countries.

Jonathan grew up in Hanover, NH and grew up playing mostly defense and goalkeeper. He holds a USSF D coaching license and a U.S. Youth Futsal National Level 3 certificate.

An ESL teacher for Kaplan International, Jon graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s in Theatre. He is a Major League Player at Comedy Sportz Boston and has performed in theatre productions throughout the East Coast. Jon resides north of Boston with his wife Susannah and although he has no pets he loves cats.

Anya Bounar

Anya Bounar is an auxiliary coach with the Club, having served as a full-time coach from 2014-16. The second-ever former player to serve on the staff, she has recently returned to earn an advanced degree at Boston University. Anya played soccer for Hobart-William Smith College and Concord-Carlisle High School, the latter for which she also serves as a part-time assistant coach.

Anya wore pink for three years, finishing her career in 2010 with 36 goals and 18 assists, a number that surely would have been higher had she not been oft injured, as her 22 goals during the 2009-10 season suggest — a feat that earned her Offensive Player of the Year honors. One of the more feared strikers of the ball ever, Anya is a staff coach for Concord-Carlisle Youth Soccer and a 2010 CCHS graduate, where she was a long-time star of the school’s soccer team. She resides in Concord.

Jay Eidson

Jay Eidson is an auxiliary coach with the Club, having served as associate head coach from 2005 to 2015, having more recently focused wholly on Netripper Futsal Club, the boys sibling program to Pink Ladies. In 2013 he was one of 22 recipients of the first-ever U.S. Youth Futsal National Level 3 coaching certificate and has coached at the U.S. Youth Futsal National Championships multiple times.

Jay is a special education teacher at Lexington High School and holds a USSF National D coaching license and grade eight USSF soccer and futsal referee badges. He has a BA from Hartwick College and a M.Ed. from Lesley University. In addition to soccer and futsal, Jay loves trains, Camp Sewataro, playing the drums and spending time with his son Carter and wife Suzanne.

Laura Whiteley

Laura Whiteley is an auxiliary coach with the Club, having served as the goalkeeper for the U18 and coaches teams from 2010-12 and as lead Academy apprentice from 2011-12. She is a senior administrator with Massachusetts Futsal Association and serves as tournament director of the Northeast Regional Futsal Championships.

She is a senior at Rutgers University yet returns home regularly to visit her family and to join in Pink Ladies events. Laura has taken U.S. Soccer coaching courses and recently changed her major to sports management as a result of her experiences with Massachusetts Futsal and Pink Ladies. Originally from St. Louis, Laura moved to Lexington where she played high school soccer and softball.

Katie Hays

Katie Hays is a Pink Ladies captain and assistant coach in the junior program. A one-year Academy apprentice coach during the 2016-17 season and a one-time Academy trainee during the 2009-10 season, Katie enters her ninth year in Pink. She is the only player to earn awards from each of the Club’s programs: Senior Leadership Award in 2016, Junior Spirit Award in 2011 and Academy Player of the Year in 2010.

She plays soccer and lacrosse at Concord-Carlisle High School and works as an administrator for the Massachusetts Futsal Association.

Talia Hislop

Talia Hislop is a Pink Ladies captain and assistant coach in the junior program. Entering her record 10th season in Pink, Talia is among the all-time leading goalscorers. Talia has served as an apprentice coach in the Academy program for three years, earning the Apprentice Coach of the Year award for 2017. She has also won Offensive Player of the Year honors three times.

Talia is a senior at Concord-Carlisle High School, where she plays for the girls soccer team and sets pace for her younger siblings, Nia (a Pink Ladies legend) and Luca (formerly a young Netripper star).

Liliana Silva

Liliana Silva is a Pink Ladies captains and assistant coach in the junior program. She enters her sixth season with the Club, and previously spent two winters as an apprentice coach in the Academy program from 2014-16. Lili ranks among the Club’s all-time leaders in assists and has also twice been selected for the U.S. Youth Futsal National Team, traveling to Costa Rica in 2015 and Colombia in 2018. She has earned the Pink Ladies Leadership Award in 2015 and was named Junior Player of the Year in 2014 and Senior Player of the Year in 2018, the first ever player to earn top honors in both the junior and senior programs.

A 12th grader, Lili plays soccer for Grafton High School, spends time with her sisters and additionally works as an administrator for the Massachusetts Futsal Association.

Juliet Taylor

Juliet Taylor is a Pink Ladies captain and assistant coach in the junior program. The 2018-19 season will be her record 10th in the program. She previously served as an apprentice coach in the Academy program where she was recognized as the 2016 Apprentice Coach of the Year. Juliet was also Named Most Improved Junior Player in 2012.

A stalwart on the Concord-Carlisle High School soccer, swim and lacrosse teams, Juliet is an outstanding peer leader and student. She is a senior and the elder sister of brother Hayden and sister (and former Pink Ladies Talk Show Host) Mia.
